Haemate® P 500 IU FVIII / 1200 IU VWF

Uses

Haemate P is used to treat bleeding episodes and to prevent excessive bleeding during and after surgery in adults and children with von Willebrand disease (VWD) or hemophilia A. The medication is used when desmopressin treatment is ineffective or contraindicated.

Side Effects

The most serious adverse reactions observed in patients receiving Haemate P are anaphylaxis and thromboembolic events. Other possible side effects include:

• Allergic reactions such as hives, rash, chest tightness, itching, and swelling.
• Nausea and vomiting.
• Headache and dizziness.
• Fever.
• Back pain.

The risk of transmitting infectious agents, such as viruses, from human blood products cannot be completely eliminated, although measures are taken to reduce this risk.
