Uses of Lenvatinib

Lenvatinib is a kinase inhibitor that works by blocking the action of an enzyme that signals cancer cells to multiply and grow. It is indicated for the treatment of:

• Thyroid Cancer: For differentiated thyroid cancer that is locally recurrent, metastatic, progressive, or radioactive iodine-refractory.
• Liver Cancer (Hepatocellular Carcinoma): As a first-line treatment for unresectable liver cancer.
• Kidney Cancer (Renal Cell Carcinoma): Used in combination with other medications for advanced kidney cancer.
• Endometrial Cancer: Used in combination with pembrolizumab for certain types of advanced endometrial cancer that have progressed after prior systemic therapy and cannot be treated with surgery or radiation.

Common side effects of Lenvatinib include:

• High blood pressure (hypertension)
• Fatigue and tiredness
• Diarrhea
• Decreased appetite and weight loss
• Nausea and vomiting
• Joint and muscle pain
• Mouth sores
• Headache
• Protein in the urine (proteinuria)
• Hoarseness
